Closest Airport: The nearest airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS), about 1 hour from Kiawah Island. Transportation: Rental Car (Recommended): Kiawah Island is a private island and ride-share options like Uber and Lyft are very limited, so renting a car is the best way to get around. Shuttle Services: Some villas or hotels may offer private shuttles; check with your property when booking.
Travel Note
For getting around during your stay, we recommend renting a car for maximum flexibility. However, if you’d prefer not to drive, there are excellent car service options available. One of our personal favorites is Caddie Chauffeur, which offers reliable and comfortable transportation throughout the area.
