Told by Chloe.... The day started off like any other Saturday, I slept in late and Austin woke up at the crack of dawn to do who knows what. It was a beautiful fall day, we walked Tobie and Pearl up to the coffee shop and around town and just hung out all day. All day long Austin kept playing the song "Why Don't You and I" by Santana on repeat and continuously asking me if I liked the song...now this song is our First Dance Song! Austin had told me earlier in the week he made dinner reservations for us at the Woods Inn, I later learned this was his tactic to get me to wear something other than athletic wear. So, 5:30 rolls around and we headed up to my parents house to drop the dogs off so we could go to dinner. When we arrived at my parents house I was slightly suspicious something was up because it was silent (usually Paul is blaring music) and my parents dogs weren't running around outside. Anyways...I grabbed Tobie and Austin grabbed pearl out of the truck and we brought them to the side yard to go to the bathroom. Then out of nowhere Austin said "put your stuff down" and my response was "i'm not putting my stuff in the lawn are you crazy?" He then proceeded to yank my hand and pull me towards the dock. Then it clicked in my brain what was happening!! It was all sort of a blur but I was so excited and nervous! After he asked me, I remember we were both shaking so much I was terrified the ring was going to end up in the lake. Once he stood up, cheers and clapping erupted from the porch! Austin had arranged for both of our parents and siblings to be there! Austin also had the inside of camp decorated with engagement decor and a Steak and Lobster dinner! It truly was a day we will never forget!
