Athens (ATH)

Although not the only option, Athens (ATH) is the nearest international airport to Mykonos. Once in Athens, there are two options to get to Mykonos. You can fly from Athens (ATH) to Mykonos Airport (JMK) which is approximately a 40m direct flight, or you can take a ferry or catamaran which take which are a 2h 30m+ ride, depending on type of boat and stops. Many other major European cities with international airports have direct flights to Mykonos. So, when shopping for flights, also look into flights from your U.S. city to any of the below European cities to possibly get a better deal: Naples, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Manchester, Zurich, Geneva, Vienna, Paris (Orly and Charles de Gaulle), Nice, Barcelona, Venice, Rome, Florence, and Munich, to name a few.
