How We Met

Chloe worked for a nonprofit, Allies, before becoming a full time school counselor. She worked with Audrey Hood, a powerhouse leader and phenomenal human. Chloe and Audrey sat down in November of 2021 as Chloe was transitioning off staff with Allies. Chloe casually mentioned that if Audrey knew any single, eligible bachelors, to keep her in mind because, let’s be honest, it’s tough out here in today’s world of online dating. At the same time, Aaron is attending New Circle Church with Audrey, and had also been mentioning to various friends, including Kaeli Moffett, that he was on the market and open to meeting new people. Audrey and Kaeli put their heads together and came up with the thought of trying to connect these two singles. In the background, Chloe is getting fed up with online dating, as she’s been on several unsuccessful dates. She deletes Hinge and decides to take a break from dating at the beginning of April 2022. Aaron is also navigating Hinge, dating off and on, but finding nothing serious. He’s also frustrated and ready to give up on dating all together. So mid-April rolled around, and Audrey texts Chloe asking if she’d be open to meeting this guy from her church who expressed interest in meeting her. Chloe says, “sure”, and Aaron does too. Both go in somewhat hesitantly because Chloe has never gone for a blonde-haired, blue-eyed guy in her life, and Aaron had never even considered a redhead. They text for a few days, and Aaron asks Chloe out for coffee after church on April 24th. They both thought it went really well, and they continued to date and have been pleasantly surprised by the way God has been writing their love story dramatically differently than they ever imagined! All glory be to Christ!

Homage to Zola

We chose to use Zola as our wedding website to include Chloe's (and now Aaron's too) furry friend, Zola! She is a 10 year old Pitbull full of spunk, loyalty, and love. Chloe's family adopted her in 2019, and she's been living life rent-free with no shortage of treats and head pets since then. When Aaron first met Zola, they were both hesitant. Aaron trusts more quickly than Zola, but neither of them were warm and fuzzy to start. Fast forward over a year later, and they share many couch snuggles and face kisses.
