It’s finally happening!

We met at the 4th of July fireworks at the American Legion in Edwardsville in 2010. We were introduced through a mutual friend and quickly became inseparable. It wasn’t long before we were hanging out nearly every day, watching seasons of Secret Life of the American Teenager and listening to alternative music. On September 19th, while dropping me off at my parents house after a date, he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Nick was going into his senior year of high school and I was starting undergrad. Nearly nine years later, the rest is history...

We first started seriously talking about getting married in summer of 2017. I knew the kind of ring I thought I wanted but wasn’t totally sure. We went ring shopping and I picked out the perfect ring, which had to be custom made of course. By the next spring, my ring was burning a hole in his pocket waiting for the perfect time. After I finished the the Go! St Louis Half Marathon, he got down on one knee. I still had a year left of graduate school so we planned for the following fall, which is FINALLY right around the corner!
