What town should I stay in?

Answer

We recommend staying in Boothbay Harbor or Wiscasset. Please note that Boothbay Harbor is different from the larger Boothbay area. Please see our Travel page for a list of recommended hotels. The wedding will take place in Wiscasset, a charming town with many antique stores and galleries. The welcome dinner will take place in Boothbay Harbor, a fun coastal town with many shops, restaurants, and bars. Shuttles will be provided from Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset hotels to the welcome dinner and wedding.

What is the best way to get to Boothbay Harbor/Wiscasset?

Answer

The closest airport is in Portland, ME (PMW). Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset are about an hour drive from the Portland airport and about a 3 hour drive from Logan Airport in Boston. We recommend renting a car as there is no Uber/Lyft in Boothbay Harbor or Wiscasset.

We do recommend renting a car as there is no Uber/Lyft in Boothbay Harbor and Wiscasset. There will be shuttles to and from all wedding events but rental cars are helpful to get to and from the airport and the brunch.

Yes, there is ample parking available at the welcome dinner and wedding venue for those who want to drive.

Yes, shuttles will be provided to and from the welcome dinner and the wedding with pickups at all hotels listed on the travel page. Boothbay Harbor is a small town with many hotels, so feel free to book a different hotel or local Airbnb that is walking distance from the shuttle pickup hotels.
