How We Met

November 2019

I have to say it is only by God's Grace that we would have ever met. I mean think about it... we live 83 miles away from one another. So how was it that we had met then if we were so far away? Well we met online on Catholic Match. We had been messaging for about a week and we decided to meet in person, so we planned to meet a week and half later. When we talked on the phone for the first time, we both felt like we had known one another for forever. Then came the day where we had our first date. I had him come to the Twin Cities where we attended mass at the Cathedral (yes we are very much Catholic) and then we were going to go to the coffee shop Cafe Bene which had been my favorite coffee shop when going to St. Thomas. On our first date we talked about basic life stories (schooling and the like) and we went for a walk around St. Thomas as well. At the end of the date we knew we had to meet again so we set another date for the next weekend so we can see one another. He then gives me a kiss on the cheek and leaves. It was a wonderful first date... one in which I will never forget!
