We're getting married!

It all started when we both "swiped right" on each other. Have to give a huge thank you to Bumble for starting us out (haha). Some of you may not know what Bumble is, but it is a dating app and you can swipe right on a person if you like their profile, pictures, etc. but on this particular app, if you want to start a conversation, the woman has to be the first one to start it off. And so, that is EXACTLY what Kayla did! We were messaging back and forth for a couple of days before deciding to call each other. And once we spoke on the phone, it was getting to know each other and lots of laughs and jokes. It was about 2-3 weeks after talking that we decided to officially meet. Jared decided to travel from Maybrook to Broadalbin (in his 1991 Honda Accord). And of course, the drive was not all it was planned to be. The 2-hour drive, turned into an almost 3-hour drive when Jared somehow turned his GPS so it would only take the backroads and not the thruway. This whole time Kayla is at home making him what was supposed to be a nice first dinner but ended up being a little dry from waiting a whole extra hour for Jared to get there (he said it was still good). From that day on, Jared drove up to Kayla almost every single weekend. They finally decided it was time to move in together (after living at mom and dad's house for a few months) they found their first home together in Scotia, NY. About a month later, they decided their home was missing a little something, so they rescued and adopted their fur daughter, Tilly. Fastforward about 6 months later, it was Kayla's birthday and she had the day off of work, but Jared still had to work. So, before he left for work he told Kayla that he had her birthday present for her and to close her eyes, and so she did. When he said to open them, he was down on one knee and asked Kayla to be his life partner and to marry him. Of course, the first thing she did was cry and then said YES! And now here we are about to celebrate their love for each other beside all their family and friends.
