Spokane Riverfront Park
Enjoy the Pavillion, Skating Rink, Skyride Gondolas, and Carrousel by the Spokane River side. Great place for a relaxing day shopping downtown vendors and letting the kids play.
Riverside State Park - Bowl and Pitcher Area
If you're getting stuffy, get out to the park and walk the trail. Bowl and Pitcher is a great spot to walk the dog, see the river, and even wet a fly for some redband trout.
Coeur D'Alene Public Golf Club
If you're a good golfer, try your hand at the floating green on the lake. If you're not, there's plenty of great drinks at Whisper and the resort on the lake.
Silver Bow Fly Shop
Out of flies? Need to get the report on the Spokane River or one of our many lakes? Swing in and chat the guys up, they have the best gear in the area.
Northern Quest Resort & Casino
We're not gamblers, but you don't need to be to enjoy the casino. Movie and Dinner is our favorite movie theatre that serves you drinks and food in the theatre, and the Windfall store sells some pretty nice outdoor gear, fishing gear, and clothing. Also one of the best spas in the area.
Maryhill Winery Spokane Tasting Room
The Kendall Yards tasting room is just a short walk over the Monroe Bridge. Check out the beautiful Spokane River waterfall on your quick jaunt over.
Terra Blanca Spokane
Beautiful Indoor/Outdoor location at the historic Chronicle Building. Spokane's only Red Mountain Estate tasting room, and the only winery where Chisa will drink Chardonnay. Draught beer, cured meats and cheeses. Family friendly.
Zola
This is where we had our first date. Zola has live music 7 nights a week and one of the best happy hours in town. 21+ only.
Scofflaw Book Club
Yes, a book club. Or a whiskey den. Scofflaw opened and was immediately served a cease and desist for name infringement. Rebels. This prohibition style bar is off the media. Look for a shop front with a bookcase and a guy reading in the window. He will open the secret door and allow you in the bar if you pass the test. Ask for the special Old Fashion, and the Penicillin is also excellent.
Durkin's Liquor Bar
Our favorite spot for food! And there's a Speakeasy downstairs! Colby's favorite drink is the Penicillin and Chisa's is the White Linen. The Island Old Fashion is also quite good. Chisa loves the beet salad, but go with the caramelized maple bacon dish instead.
High Tide Lobster Bar
This is for our New England friends. Owner is Chef Chad White (from Top Chef). There are two locations to choose from. The W. Hogwash Whiskey Den
Great spot for whiskey drinks and good food. This is one of our first whiskey den discoveries in Spokane. It’s a little hard to find the side door that leads to the prohibition style den, but worth it when you get there!
Whisk
Nothing too fancy but great whiskey drinks for a fair price. This is the place we go for quick meetups when we don't want to pay $15 for an old fashion.
