Lauren and Kevin's journey began in 2014 when they met in college through their mutual friend, Chad (securing him the coveted Best Man spot, naturally). Lauren always had a crush on Kevin, so much so that she once said, “Whoever marries Kevin will be the luckiest lady alive.” Imagine her surprise now that she IS that lucky lady! Fast forward to the summer of 2021, when Lauren decided to take matters into her own hands. She started dropping not-so-subtle hints, like having Kevin act as her “boyfriend” to fend off unwanted attention at the bar. The flirting was unmistakable, the chemistry undeniable, and after several months of taking it slow and talking on and off, they finally went on their first real date on March 5, 2022, at North Water Brewing in Kent, OH. Considering the date lasted close to six hours, some might say it was a success. From that moment on, they fell into an easy rhythm and never looked back. Over the years, they've shared countless laughs, went on several adventures, and celebrated many milestones together, always side by side. From walking (stumbling?) the Freedom Trail with a few too many pub stops along the way, to spending quiet nights together at McGinty’s Pub in Lakewood, and enjoying cozy evenings at their new home, there was never a moment without love shared and a lot of Kevin’s bad jokes—I mean, laughter. On December 7, 2024, Kevin whisked Lauren away on a romantic night out, taking her to her favorite Little Italy restaurant and then to Public Square to see the Christmas lights. In front of the Christmas tree, Kevin got down on one knee, but before he could even speak, Lauren began screaming —clearly a “yes”. Legend has it she knew all along what this date night would entail, yet still blacked out from pure excitement when the moment happened. Fast forward a few months, because planning a wedding and renovating a house weren’t enough, Lauren and Kevin decided to add a baby to the mix. Why not tackle all the major life milestones at once? They’re so excited to start this next chapter and can’t wait to share the love and the dance floor with their sweet son, who will no doubt steal the spotlight (and probably a few snacks) on their big day. Hopefully he doesn’t take after his dad’s dance moves. Lauren and Kevin can’t wait to celebrate with all their favorite people on June 27, 2026!
