I found Xylia on LinkedIn while I was recruiting for a new team member. They made me recruit for my own teammate because I was "picky” so when I came across Xylia’s profile I thought I’d call her. She came into the office we met in person and I instantly knew she’d be one of my favorite humans. A month into the job I invited her to come over to my house for a “chill” get together. As usual, Xylia and Jerry showed up late (probably because Jerry had PYCD sports activity going on) but by the time they showed up both myself and my husband were not “chill” and I think that’s when Xylia and Jerry probably realized we were their people. We’ve been such great friends since and I am excited to see these two love birds get married, finally!

Hey my name is Joshua Mathew, I am 22 years old, born in New York, and moved like 4 different times in my life but ended up in Dallas, TX! I have known Jerry a majority of my life and his family since they moved to the U.S; practically my older brother! Jerry later moved to Dallas and we ended up being roommates for a couple years in college and if you know Jerry then you know we were doing nothing but stupid stuff; he met Xylia and introduced her to the “Brady Gang” and ever since I've had an older sister!

Jerry and I met the fall of 2016. Our relationship would grow as we played on the same team for IM football. Our conversations would range from how we could improve on the field, to the things we wanted to do and especially what to eat: before long we became brothers. One thing I can say about Jerry is he is motivated about the things he cares for, and he cares for Xylia; which is why I can’t wait to watch them make this official.

I am one of Jerry best friends from college and church. 3 years ago I moved to Boston, MA for work. Prior to moving, I played sports alongside Jerry in college Intramurals and church sporting events. I have also attended church with Jerry ever since Jerry moved to Dallas. I was witness to Jerry’s baptism and has seen the way God has moved in and through him to help and uplift others.
