If you have ever been to a Cracker Barrel, you know that it is a very busy place. My manager asked me if I would be a hostess for the day because we didn't have one. Little did I know that this would lead to Chip coming up and talking to me almost the whole day! He brought the menus back to me and carried the heavy silverware bucket to the host stand so I didn't have to. I was flattered! We worked together for months. I loved to always stare at him and talk about how cute he was with my co-workers. But I thought "There is no way would someone at cute as him would date someone like me." So after that day I went back to being a waitress, and I wanted to repay Chip for helping me at the host stand. So I helped him get drinks and took his food out to his tables. He thought that I was cool. Nothing really good happened until a few weeks later when I needed someone to take my shift to go to the rodeo with my mom and sister. He volunteered! I was so thankful that I got him a bag of lifesavers and said thanks for being my "lifesaver." We would just talk more and more everyday and eventually he told me that he likes to go the gym and said he has some friend passes and I could go with him! LOL We didn't end up going to the gym but he did take me out to SaltGrass and we stayed for 3 hours! Come to find out he only started talking to me at the host stand to tell me what tables he wanted me to sit him! We were talking for a couple of weeks before we made a bet of who would say "I love you" first. I won. He told me "I love you" and the rest is history. I am so glad that I agreed to be a hostess that day (even if he just talked to me to make more money). I can't wait to marry my best friend. -Morgan
Well, we met at Cracker Barrel and we worked together for 8 months(?). I thought she was pretty but TOO YOUNG. I would always flirt with her so she would sit me good tables or run my food. I needed to make some extra money and she was trying to give up a shift so I took it for her. She thanked me and brought me a bag of lifesavers. I thought "man, this girl is cool." I asked if she was going to a co-workers birthday party that weekend and she said she was going. I told her directions to get there and she got lost on the way and called me. I met her at H-E-B so she could follow me back to the birthday party. We stayed out talking all night until she finally told me she had to be back at work in an hour, it was 5am and Cracker Barrel opened up at 6. I was so nervous and asked her to go to the gym with me, but instead we went out to dinner. Every moment I spent with her the age difference started to not matter. We made a bet on who would say "I love you" first and I won. She said it to me first. The rest is history. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't wait to marry her.
