We matched on DilMil and I started the conversation. We had some small talk and Kaushik decided to cut the small talk and ask me directly what I am looking for and what my intentions are. LOL. He called me the next day and then we talked on the phone everyday for 5 weeks until he came to Baltimore to meet me for the first time. He asked me out that same day he met me and the rest is history.

My friend picked me up from my house and took me to Cheesecake Factory for lunch. I had a feeling something was up for a while but I wasn't too sure. My friend asked me to go hang out with her boyfriend but I didn't want to cause I thought something was going to happen but she was trying to sell the story of just meeting her boyfriend and that nothing was going to happen. She did a wonderful job cause by the end of that lunch, I was really sad and genuinely thought nothing was going to happen and just wanted to go home. She convinced me to go to the park and just meet her boyfriend and we will have a picnic there. I said ok eventually. We get to the park and I am getting out of the car and walking down the sidewalk and I just see Kaushik in a navy suit holding a bouquet of red roses in his hand. My heart was racing and I knew what was going to happen. Neither of us could stop smiling. He gave me a little bag and told me to open it, inside there were puzzle pieces. History repeated itself because when he asked me to be his girlfriend, it was also with puzzle pieces. It was 12 puzzle pieces and it took me the longest time to put it together, my hands were shaky and heart still pounding. He was still waiting for me to put it together and asked if I wanted help. Of course, I declined and still was struggling. I eventually put it together and looked at him. It said "Chinar, will you marry me?" He was down on one knee with a beautiful ring in his hand. I of course started nodding my head and said "YES YES YES" before he even verbally asked. (LOL it really did happen like this) and that was that. And just like that I was engaged to the love of my life. He drove me home and as I opened my front door, I just see a room full of loved ones surprising me and it was easily one of the happiest days of our lives.
