Our story begins when we both caught each other's eye at church. At the time we both wanted to talk to each other but felt too shy to be the first to say hi. Months later, we reconnected and went on our first date on June 21, 2024 to Hinoki Sushi. It was the best date we'd ever been on and Hinoki Sushi has since become one of our favorite restaurants. From that day forward, we wanted to spend every possible moment with each other. We filled our time together with late night conversations and many more dates, from painting classes to sports games. We made many memories in our travels all over the country together, either to attend weddings, visit friends and family, or more recently cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers at our first NFL game! Just as much as the adventures, we enjoyed the cozy nights spent cooking dinner, playing board games, and watching our favorite shows together. A little over a year into dating we climbed to the top of Mount Saint Helens together, an experience full of lots of leg cramps on Matt's end. Matt fought through the pain to reach the top of Mount Saint Helens where we got engaged! We are so excited to tie the knot on June 21, 2026 - the two year anniversary of our first date!
