Picnic and "Ceremony"

Arrive around 3:30, with a light "ceremony" at 4:00 pm. There will be drinks, snacks, photos, and chillin! If you're driving in, please bring camp chairs for the ceremony if you want to sit, otherwise you will be standing. Make sure you grab a wristband at the park shelter, it will be your entrance into the VFW. *PRO TIP* - If you are coming from out of town without a car, or don't want to drive, consider scheduling your Lyft(s) in advance to the park and from the park to the VFW.
Evening Reception and Party

We've rented a hall at the Uptown VFW (Post 246), to bring in the real midwest vibes. Think approachable dive bar, cheap drinks, relatively low ceilings, brown hues.. the good stuff. The VFW is an 8 minute walk from the Moxy hotel. *Guests MUST be vaccinated to attend this portion* A bar tab will be open for an OPEN BAR from 6pm until the tab runs out. *Kids under 18 must vacate the VFW by 8pm. Make sure you have your wristband on! A pizza dinner and snacks will be provided around 7-7:30pm, followed by speeches and dancing. There is karaoke at the VFW in the back lounge starting at 9pm as well, in case you want to shred the mic and head back to get your groove on ~ Let's party!!

Bloody Mary Bar

Come join us in the party suite to kick that hangover with Emma's Aunt Shir's famous Bloody Marys! She will be whippin' up the drinks in the Party Suite (Room 619). There will also be some light breakfast items as well. Drag yourself in, meet some people, dance yourself out and hop on the shuttle bus to fair at 12:30 in front of the hotel.
Bus From Hotel to State Fair
12:15 pm
We've booked one way transportation to the State Fair, leaving from the hotel at 12:15 pm. Everyone will be on their own to get home. Ride sharing is super easy to leave the fair. Driving is also definitely an option for those with vehicles. And we will be meeting as a group for beers in the fair grounds at 1:30 pm right here https://goo.gl/maps/zuWKQYxNHEiHSzAW8
Minnesota State Fair

For those staying through the weekend, we're going to head over to the Minnesota State Fair on Saturday. It's always a great day of drinking, eating things on a stick, and seeing the sites. Also it is BRIAN'S BIRTHDAY!!! We have rented a school bus to take us to the fair :) It will leave the Moxy hotel at 12:30pm. You all are responsible for your ride home!

Sunday Decompression & Beach Day

For anyone still in town, we're going to head for a chill day at the beach. Bde Maka Ska Lake - 32nd Street Beach is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are canoe, paddle board, and kayak rentals nearby. We'll probably set off on a paddle adventure sometime mid day. As a warning, drinking publicly isn't encouraged at this beach, which means bring a koozie, or just keep it low key.
