Covid-19 Update

Chillen Like A Gillen 2.0

Due to the effects of COVID-19, we decided to honor our original wedding date of 8/8/2020 and get married last summer, but reschedule our reception so we could celebrate with all our friends and family safely. We are happy to say that we will be definitely having our wedding reception on July 31, 2021. While this is a mostly indoor event, a large majority of our guests are completely vaccinated. There is also a large amount of space in the ballroom to accommodate social distancing. Masks are welcome for those who would feel more comfortable wearing them! We thank you for your patience, love, and support over the last year. And we are so excited to celebrate our (almost) 1st wedding anniversary with you all! Please reach out to either of us with any questions or concerns you may have. Love, Kat and Adam

How we met...

Adam's Story: "When I first saw Katherine she was a prospective student visiting the campus. The next time I would see her is in Orchestra. Every time I sat next to Katherine I would try to make small talk and joke with her as much as I could. Eventually Katherine and I became friends on Facebook and I used that connection to make plans with her. We hung out at my friend's apartment and watched How I Met Your Mother. On our first date I bought her chocolate and a CD by her favorite band. We went into town to smoke hookah and eat at Buddy's Burgers. We promised to keep in contact over winter break, and that's when we made it official. I brought her to a New Year's Eve party and we acknowledged we were officially together. Katherine's Story: "I started going to school at West Chester in 2013. I slowly got to know everyone in the horn studio, but Adam was very quiet and didn't really show up on my radar right away. We sat next to each other in orchestra often and he always cracked jokes that I always laughed at. One night in November I got a message from him that said, 'Hey! You sounded great in studio today. Are you free Saturday night?' I immediately laughed, thinking about how corny his pick up line was. But then I agreed and we met at a friend's apartment for a small get together. Our hang out ritual became eating food and watching How I Met Your Mother. We went on our first date to a hookah bar and then to get burgers in town. When he met me at my dorm that night, he brought me chocolate and a Vampire Weekend CD because I had mentioned I liked that band in a previous conversation. After this date I was very hesitant to accept that he was the one. We suffered through finals week together, talking often and being together when we could. We said our goodbyes, but not before agreeing to see each other over break. On New Year's Eve day he drove to my house, met my parents, and then took me on our "official" first date followed by a NYE party.
