We met while serving at The Remnant Church, but it took us a while to move from “talking” to dating. Alyssa was shy, so she got creative—finding subtle ways to say hello (often using her little brother Zayden as her stand-in messenger). Drew, meanwhile, was already noticing her caring, gentle spirit—so much so that he says you could replace the word “love” in 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 with “Alyssa” and it would still be true. We’ve been together a little over a year (or about two, if you count the on-and-off “almost dating” days 😉). We’re both a little weird, we laugh about almost everything—sometimes things we probably shouldn’t—and we just get each other. Our engagement was perfectly “us”—dinner, milkshakes, and a home filled with candles, rose petals, and a painted sign with the question Drew had been teasing for months: “If I asked you today, would you say yes?” Through it all, God has been the foundation of our love. We believe He handcrafted us for each other—aligning every moment of our past, present, and future. From devotions and prayer to deep talks about the mysteries of the Lord, we know we wouldn’t be here without His hand guiding our steps. We’re so thankful for His goodness—and so ready for the chapter ahead.
