Our Story

High-school Sweethearts

We had been in classes in middle school together at PCA but didn’t become good friends until later in high school. We specifically became really good friends after being in almost all of our classes together junior year of high school. Cole had become one of my best friends but it was during our minimester trip to Italy junior year we became best friends. Senior year we officially started dating and the rest was history! We survived covid with lots of FaceTimes and got to graduate from PCA together in 2020. We did long distance while Cole attended Texas A&M and I attended The University of Arkansas. We spent many weekends driving home to Dallas for the three years we were in different states. When I graduated from Arkansas I went to graduate school at UT Austin (or as cole says tu) and we were able to spend many weekends together in College Station attending football games, parsons events, and company events together for Cole’s senior year! After getting engaged in May of 2024 we got our first GSP puppy named Goose and are learning what it’s like to be puppy parents!! Goose will turn 1 a few days after we get married! Some of our favorite things to do together are attending sports events like the Dallas Stars or Texas Rangers, go to the movies, and cook. One of my favorite memories while Cole and I have been dating is when Cole surprised me for my 21st birthday with Dallas Stars tickets and I had no idea that we would be so close to the ice! One of my favorite memories while Maddie and I have been dating is when she drove to Fort Knox Kentucky for my Army graduation from summer training and we took a road trip and drove back to Texas together.

The Proposal

May 10, 2025

We got engaged on May 10th at Texas A&M surrounded by our family. Cole had commissioned that morning into the Army as a Second Lieutenant and afterwards gave a tour of campus to everybody who had come down. During the tour Cole mentioned the importance of the Century Tree and that “according to Aggie tradition, couples who walk under the tree's branches together will marry, and if a couple gets engaged under the tree, their marriage will last forever.” Cole then asked me to take a walk with him and it was underneath the Century Tree that Cole proposed!
