We met at what felt like the start of the end of the world. In March 2020, our lives changed completely. The world shutdown, forbidding even the best of friends from seeing each other. Offices, restaurants, theaters, and just about everything you could think of closed. What was supposed to be a short spell at home followed by a "post pandemic beer" as our first date seemed to become more and more difficult as time passed. The pandemic got more serious, meaning going out was almost impossible, but the affection we had for each other grew every day. Ashley had initially turned down a request for a FaceTime date, claiming that it was going to be a little awkward. A few days later, she changed her mind. Our first FaceTime date lasted over six hours and we couldn't wait for the next one. After a couple weeks of lengthy virtual dates, we decided it was time for a real one. Without many options, we decided to meet in the park and order takeout sushi. As the world started to resume to normal, we fell deeper and deeper in love with each other. We got a tiny apartment together with some tiny cats (shoutout to Umi and Ocha, they're still tiny) and started to build a life. A little over four years after our first (in person) date, we decided that spending the rest of our lives together seemed pretty cool! We love to travel, and we love to spend time with our friends and family. As much as this wedding is about the love we have for each other, we also want it to be about our love of traveling to new, exciting places and the love we have for our friends and family. We understand that this is a huge trip for all our guests, but we are so excited to share this adventure with you. We hope to see you there and can't wait to celebrate together! 皆様にとって、大変な旅であることは承知していますが、皆様にお会いし冒険を共有できることをとても楽しみにしております。 💕 Casey and Ashley
