From Justin: We met at a house party that Taylor's roommate and my new coworker threw, but they changed the time without telling me. So I arrived early and spent that time annoying my new coworker's cute roommate while she was still doing her hair for the party. Then I got into a flirting contest with another coworker (who also didn't know about the time change) for Taylor's attention. A few shots later and we were playing guess her tattoo and I was showing off my severe (but harmless) skin allergic reaction to mosquito bites on the porch of the house, somewhere in the backwoods of Tallahassee, FL. From Taylor: One of my roommates had a going-away party to which my other roommate invited some coworkers, including Justin. The party was pushed back an hour the day of, but Justin hadn't heard this and still arrived at the original time. So I take a shower before the party and wrap myself and my hair in towels and and walk to my kitchen and BAM there's some strange guy standing there. He gives me a big smile and is like "HI I'm Justin," and I blurted something rude like what are you doing in my house? He was totally unfazed. Later on when I was more composed and the party was in full swing we struck up a conversation and I just loved his energy. He was not embarrassed at all about "not getting the memo" concerning the party time change, which I found attractive. He's very "so what?" about mistakes whereas I tend to obsess about them. We talked for a long time that night. Later on that night I pointed him out to my bestie and was like, do you think that guy is cute? And my bestie was like, "I can only see the back of his head but it's very attractive." At the end of the night when Justin left (after making a point to say goodbye and that he enjoyed talking to me) I insisted that my roommate give him my number so he could ask me out. The next morning as soon as I saw her I said, so did you give Justin my number yet?? Our first date was the very next weekend. We went to go see Inside Out together.
