Our first date was at an ice hockey game- his suggestion and I couldn't have been more excited about it as I had never been to one before, it was so unique! I was nervous (naturally) but he was as calm as ever (naturally), the nervousness soon went away and the comfort in being with him came almost instantly. I can't remember much of the game apart from just being in awe at it, but I do remember the feeling of being there with him and constantly laughing, getting to know each other and just feeling happy. The spark was instant, we knew it was the start of us.

We decided to spend Christmas time in London to experience the Christmas market- little did I know that it would lead to one of the happiest days of my life. We arrived on the 26th and spent majority of it walking about until we could check in. When we eventually arrived, Gomis said that he wanted to go up and 'check the room' before I entered, at that point a wave of excitement came over me as I got a feeling something was about to happen. He came down 20 mins later and took me up, I walked into a beautifully set up space with petals and balloons on the floor and 'will you marry me' balloons on the wall which I eventually noticed at the other part of the room. He started by saying that he just wanted to decorate the room nice for me coming in but then 2 minutes later he pulled out a ring box, got down on one knee and said the most beautiful words to me then finished them off with 'will you marry me' I could never put the feeling into words but my heart had never felt so full, so happy and so loved. And of course... I said yes.
