Arguably one of Frank Lloyd Wright's most stunning architectural accomplishments, Fallingwater (or the Kaufmann Residence) was designed in 1935 and built partly over a waterfall in Bear Run. The house was designed as a weekend home for the family of Liliane and Edgar Kaufmann, of the department store. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1966, and is listed among Smithsonian's "Life List of 28 Places to Visit before you Die"
