First off, that’s not a question. But, you’re right. We had a small legal and religious ceremony with only our parents and siblings on January 25, 2020 - our official anniversary. We guess we were just ahead of the social distancing curve! We’re super excited to be renewing our vows with our extended friends and family able to participate. Apart from the vows, the other elements will look and feel like a typical wedding.
Again, not a question. We chose Toledo because it was where our relationship first blossomed as well as for its central location for many of the invitees. Don’t sleep on Toledo, though! It’s an underappreciated Midwestern gem. Check out the Things To Do page on our wedding website for more information.
We’ll be outdoors for much of the day and the reception will include a variety of interactive activities and yard games rather than dancing. You’ll want to be comfortable moving around while also looking like you’re going somewhere special. The groomsmen won’t be wearing full suits to give you an indication of the suggested dress code.
Great question. Masks might need to be a part of your wedding attire but it’ll depend on your age and vaccination status. Based on the most recent CDC guidelines the event space is requiring masks to be worn by all unvaccinated individuals 2 and older except while actively eating. (Being at a table where food will be present does not count.) Infants, vaccinated adolescents, and fully vaccinated adults will not be required to mask at any point. For clarification, full vaccination status is met two weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines and two weeks after the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Well, you can’t. As a point of hospitality, we’re inviting everyone to opt into a dry (alcohol-free) environment rather than asking anyone to opt out of participation due to the presence of alcohol. Those desiring a drink before or after the festivities are welcome to consult their lodging establishment or the world wide web for suggestions in the area.
