The year is 2019, Sean and Chiara both were hopelessly looking for love, nowhere to be found...KIDDING! We knew each other were out there somewhere in this world, we just didn't have a means for connecting....enter Hinge, as the tagline says "the app meant to be deleted". In layman's terms, you are encouraged to meet your soulmate on the dating app and then delete it never to be downloaded again. After a first date that included a dinner at hibachi, Martinis at Venetian Moon on Halloween weekend, and more dates that included walking along Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, laughing over pizza and wine, and attending a Bruins game, they soon realized they were meant for each other. Living their respective lives as a nurse and a CPA and living apart, the COVID-19 pandemic drew them closer than one could have ever imagined. Sean asked Chiara to live with him for “2 weeks until this mysterious illness went away”….2 weeks turned into almost 3 years living in Stoneham where they got their first dog Rosie, enjoyed summers by the pool and at the Cape, and grew fond of one another’s family by bonding over quality time spent around the holidays and in between. An exciting and pivotal time in their relationship came when they decided to move to Winthrop together, a town so near and dear to Chiara’s heart. And while Sean was nervous to move away from his hometown for the last 28 years, it ended up being the best decision they made, together. Enjoying lots of walks with Rosie by the beach, listening to the airplanes above, and developing their love story for many years to come. Fast forward to May 18th, 2024, the date Sean and Chiara locked in their love eternally for one another, with an elegant piece of jewelry on Chiara’s left hand. To Chiara’s surprise, for a day which she thought Sean was golfing with his friends, and for which Chiara thought she was going for a simple lunch with her longtime friend, turned into one of the most special dates of their lives, Sean got down on one knee and asked Chiara to be his wife. The surprises continued as Sean asked his friends and parents to join them in celebration afterwards at a restaurant in Stoneham where Chiara was truly surprised. 2025 will be an exciting year for the future Keenan’s, and they cannot wait to celebrate their eternal love once and for all with all of you!
