The nearest airport is Catania airport which is approximately 1 hour from Taormina. We would recommend pre ordering a taxi to get to Taormina as it will be cheaper than using the taxi's outside the airport. Taxis within Taormina are easily accessible.
If you are wanting to hire a car from Catania airport please be aware some companies only allow up to an hour delay and will automatically cancel your booking.
Parking in Taormina is limited, locals require a permit to park on the roads (which are tight and narrow!). There are car parks which charge on average €20 per night. Some links to car parks in Taormina below.
