The story of Chelsea and Marcus begins as most modern romances do, online. In the summer of 2018, Chelsea and Marcus connected on the dating app ‘coffee meets bagel’. Marcus liked Chelsea’s cute picture with angel wings and Chelsea liked Marcus’s buffed out dragon boating picture. Marcus was very excited they connected and sent Chelsea a message to say ‘hi’. They exchanged messages for a few days, and Marcus tried to arrange an date. That’s when both Chelsea and Marcus realized that both lied on their profiles. They had both put the city they lived in as Pasadena. In reality, Marcus lived in Azusa and worked in Brea. Chelsea worked in Pasadena and lived in Diamond Bar. When Marcus saw Chelsea, she looked exactly like her profile pictures. Chelsea saw Marcus in the restaurant sitting at the table and still walked in, and that’s the best start of a date that anybody can hope for. Marcus was an avid fisherman, and really wanted somebody who could appreciate fishing as much as him. All Marcus could see was how Chelsea was so perfect. As soon as Chelsea went to the bait tank to pin on an Anchovy on her line by herself Marcus realized Chelsea was the one. Chelsea was a little more apprehensive about Marcus. She wondered if Marcus was a good guy. Did they share the same values? Chelsea cared about the environment and invited Marcus to a beach clean up at Seal Beach. Chelsea noticed that Marcus was really into the beach cleanup as he was on the channel banks pulling out trash that was stuck in the rocks, Chelsea realized that Marcus was the one. Marcus and Chelsea had many adventures together. Life was good! On one adventure to Cabo San Lucas. They had a romantic dinner, watching the sunset, eating great food and enjoying each other. It felt, like the Pixar movie Up, being at Paradise Falls. That’s when Marcus knew he wanted to marry Chelsea. It was fate, like finding a message in a bottle, that Marcus and Chelsea met and fell in love.
