We met in the ICU working as night shift nurses in 2019. We were friends and always had laughs together when working the same night shift. In 2020, Covid-19 hit our unit and our unit quickly became each other's lifelines as many of us began quarantining away from family in hotels provided by our hospital. One day, David asked if we could go out for a sushi date, and Chiamaka agreed on one condition - if he would get a crew of us from work together also for this sushi date. David said no problem, and immediately began going to our coworkers to invite them out for sushi. The intentionality was clear! David ended up recruiting 6-7 of us for sushi and we all enjoyed together. The following week, we went on a solo date and the rest is history! We both left our staff nursing job to travel nurse around the country while traveling and enjoying life together. Now, we are both finishing up our goals of becoming CRNA's while working towards beginning our beautiful marriage. We are so blessed to have the support of such a mighty village and we cannot wait to enjoy this big day with you all!
