Rhett and Cheyenne met for their first date on a Thursday night at Don Pepe’s. He let her pick where she wanted their first date and he was not disappointed when she chose one of his favorite restaurants! They had a great date and knew that they wanted to get to know each other. Over the next few months, they became more and more important to each other. Especially as introductions to friends and family became a regular occurrence. Now, about 2 1/2 years later, they are planning the rest of their lives together!

August 26, 2023 was a day to remember! Rhett had been planning the perfect proposal for a few months and decided that this was the day that he would ask Cheyenne to marry him. After planning with Cheyenne’s best friend, they came up with the perfect idea! On this Saturday, the girls were planning to have a girls’ night while the guys went hunting. After the girls finished getting ready to go to their dinner plans, the guys were already at the hunting land. They call and say that they forgot the release for the bow. Now mind you, where they were hunting was about 35 minutes in the opposite direction of the dinner reservation. So… the girls being as nice as they are, decided to go ahead and drive out to take the release. As they finally pull up, Cheyenne was very confused because the other girls got out the car and started walking to the field, so she followed suit. Cheyenne saw Rhett and asked, “What in the world is he wearing?”. Rhett was all dressed up in a nice shirt, jeans, and his ostrich skin boots! It was at this moment she noticed the beautiful decorations, the music, her friends holding phones/cameras, and that big sign saying, “Will you marry me?”. Rhett got down on one knee, asked the big question, Cheyenne said “Absolutely!”, and the rest is history!
