Best Man
We have been friends since high school. Some of my favorite memories together include riding around in his creepy van, jamming out to Chevelle, and lighting things on fire. We've bonded many a night over fire and Jameson. I coached him through not throwing up at the Dropkick Murphy's concert. He was the best roommate before our engagement.
Maid of Honor
Molly and I met at an admitted student's overnighter for Central College (we're cool we know). She cornered me into being her roommate by running across a parking lot, across the street, and into the admissions office to ask in front of our admission counselors who were naturally thrilled. I literally couldn't say no. Luckily, we have been best friends ever since. Even though she left me and went to Iowa State, (Go Cyclones!); and I studied abroad, moved to Chicago and then Alabama. I couldn't imagine this day without her.
Bridesmaid
I met Kelsey at Central when she was my housemate/suitemate. Naturally, I forced her to be my friend and we have never looked back. She is the best person to do absolutely nothing with but also to plan an epic road trip across the country to see things like the world's largest skillet (that trip is tbd but it will be epic). Fun side note: as of today our Snapchat streak is 383 days...ask us how high it is at the wedding.
Flower Girl
Nathan and I met thanks to the Lord... we played together in the church band. One might say we made "gnarly tunes" that is open to interpretation because we had no idea what we were doing. We rode around in the Corolla, almost died once or twice... again thanks, Lord! We also left a man with his knocked over scooter as we blazed away out of the cul-de-sac.
Bridesmaid
Kelsey and I met two years ago thanks to the Bachelor franchise and our mutual love for Aldi wine. We bonded over our love/hate of reality tv and have not looked back. Funnily enough, our first impressions of each other were that we liked each other but didn't think we would be good/great friends. I'm very glad we were both wrong, even though her fashion sense makes me look like a bridge troll even on my best days.
Groomsman
We bonded one faithful night at Jackie's (for those that don't know Jackie's is a local dive bar). He walked in, we shared a beer (him a Coors Light, myself a Yueling), and then his name was called for karaoke. One might say it's a "Family Tradition". We've been friends ever since.
