Chapter 1

Where Nosing Around Gets Ya...

While in middle school, Cheyenne took up color guard as an extracurricular activity with a friend. One night, Cheyenne stayed over with her friend Rebecca. They decided to go jump on the trampoline in the dark and practice their moves by tossing a broom stick in the air lol. Joe lived in the house behind Rebecca's, and he decided to be nosey. He rode his four-wheeler over to Rebecca's back yard and yelled, "What are you doin?!" It scared both of the girls, but Rebecca soon realized that it was Joe and introduced him to Cheyenne. The three of them talked for a moment by the fence, and Rebecca said, "you two should have a date - tomorrow night!" And so it was set. The next night, Cheyenne and Rebecca made cupcakes and Kool-Aid, and even made a playlist for the perfect first date. When Joe had come over, the three of them sat around a bonfire and had s'mores & cupcake snacks while laughing all evening. Then, Rebecca put on some music and made Joe and Cheyenne have their first dance. (She was very persistent in making sure her friends had the perfect first date!) That evening, Joe and Cheyenne had their first date, first dance, first kiss, and were inseparable after that! They spent half of the school year, all summer, and half of the following school year together. Cheyenne was a freshman in high school and Joseph was a junior at the same high school. He brought her roses on her birthday and walked her to class every chance he could. He was great. But towards the middle of the school year, they parted ways and Cheyenne moved to Greenwood... Cheyenne attended Greenwood High School for about a year and then came back to Southport for the second half of sophomore year. She reunited with her friend Rebecca and immediately thought of Joe. She caught up with Rebecca in the lunch room and as soon as she started to ask about him, he came walking down the hallway. Joe hugged Cheyenne and she knew that was her chance to pick up where they had left off!

Chapter 2

Picking Up Where We Left Off

When Joe and Cheyenne had reunited after about a year long break, they both had significant others. They decided to just spend some time together and get to know each other again as friends. Within two weeks of texting and hanging out, Cheyenne had to get her wisdom teeth removed - and it was not a pleasant experience. She had been talking to Joe that day, and he offered to come spend time with her since she looked like a chipmunk and didn't want to leave the house. Joe spent all night with Cheyenne and made sure she was medicated and feeling well. After that day, Cheyenne knew that if he had seen her at her worst (thus far), he would be the one that she wanted by her side through all of the good. It was inevitable that they were meant for each other. They both decided that there was something more between them and it was time to lose the boyfriend / girlfriend that they had. From that point forward, they were inseparable again. Cheyenne was in high school still, and Joe was working full time, but they managed to spend every single day together. There were nights where he would drop her off at home after a night of hanging out, and he would come right back just to tell her he loved and missed her. Of course it was not always butterflies and rainbows, but no one could ever do or say anything that could tear the two apart. And then one day, Cheyenne offered to do Joe's laundry and he never took it back home. They moved in together, and started living life as one unit. 7 years, 2 apartments, 1 house, 2 college degrees, 2 dogs and a cat later - they are finally engaged and ready to begin Chapter 3 as a married couple.
