Johnny and Cheyenne met in April of 2022, right as Johnny was finishing his last few weeks at the University of Tampa. Graduation was just around the corner, and he was getting ready to move back home to New York. Even with that timing, from their very first date, something just clicked. The connection was strong, easy, and completely natural. They both knew they wanted to be together, but the idea of long distance was a little scary. Still, they couldn’t ignore how they felt. Over the next few weeks, they made the most of their time, getting to know each other better, meeting friends and family, and soaking in every moment. Before Johnny left, he asked Cheyenne to be his girlfriend and to give long distance a try. She said yes! From May 2022 to April 2023, they made it work through daily FaceTime calls, constant texting, and visits whenever they could. Cheyenne spent over a month in New York considering a move, but in the end, she felt happiest in Florida. Johnny understood completely and began planning his move south to be with her. By April, they were officially living together and building a home. They filled it with cozy touches, late-night snacks, and lots of home projects. In November 2023, they adopted a mini goldendoodle puppy from a sweet breeder in Utah and named him Utah. A little over a year later, they brought home another goldendoodle named Poe, who fit right in and brought even more joy and chaos. On August 10th, 2024, Johnny proposed in their condo with a thoughtful and romantic setup. Their sweet cat Snickers, who has since passed, and Utah were both there, making the moment even more meaningful. Now, with Poe by their side too, they are planning the next chapter of their love story, surrounded by happy memories and a whole lot of love.
