We're Getting Married!

It was the 4th of July weekend at the river, Nancy Daniels & Audrey Taber talked to me about Blaine the night before we met. They said he was sweet, caring, and a very cute guy that would treat me right. I was all in until they told me his age (19) when I was 23 at the time. Fast forward to the next night, the 4th of July, Ben Warren introduced me to some guys that night, but there wasn't a spark with anyone. I kept hanging out with my friends, and then the moment happened... Ben brought Blaine over to me, and I immediately had butterflies in my stomach and started smiling ear to ear. My friends wanted to go back to our camp, and something came over me telling me to stay to talk to him. Thank God I did, because we talked the whole night. I finally went back to my camp to sleep, but kept thinking about Blaine. 2 days later I ran into him again at the river that night, we hung out the whole night, and went on our first "official" date the next day, and were inseparable ever since. I knew Blaine was the person for me the second I met him!

Blaine and I went to Mexico in December of 2021, our first vacation together just us. It was amazing!! We relaxed, laid on the beach, hung out in the pool, ate a lot of food, swam with sea turtles, swam in a cenote, snorkeled, and GOT ENGAGED! We had planned to do the fanciest dinner on that Monday, so that whole day we just relaxed on the beach, hung out with some people we met there, and just enjoyed the day. It was around 4 PM so I decided to go back to the room to get ready for dinner, Blaine came up a little bit later. Little did I know that Blaine had talked to the people we met about proposing to me that evening, they were all for helping him catch the moment on camera! (Thank you, Kris) After Blaine got done getting ready he said he was going back down to get a drink while I finished up getting ready. When I went down to meet Blaine, we went to look at the sunset, that's when he proposed! He pulled me over to the side of the balcony closest to the beach, got down on 1 knee, I heard him say my name, and the next thing I know I was in his arms hugging him because I blacked out from the adrenaline and shock, and I couldn't even form words I was so speechless. Thank goodness we have it on video (even though you can't hear what we say because of the waves crashing in the background). I asked Blaine later that night what he said, and he couldn't remember either from all of the nerves. So I guess we will never know what was said, but that doesn't matter because we get to spend the rest of our lives together!
