Cheyenne was introduced to Chris through a mutual friend. After a fair amount of time communicating long-distance, Chris finally came to visit her at college and meet the girl of his dreams. The night went well, so well in fact, that the next day she brought him home! After a romantic visit consisting of horseback riding, haunted houses and bonfires amid the picturesque autumn foliage of upstate New York, Chris asked Cheyenne to be his girlfriend before returning to Georgia. The couple made long-distance work with frequent visits to one another's homes over the course of a few months. Those visits included holidays with family, the exciting midnight kiss that rang in 2018 when they said 'I Love You' for the first time; Chris even persuaded Chad into surprising Cheyenne with him at her last rodeo as Miss. Frontier Circuit! As the grass greened, the air warmed and the smell of spring showers decorated the sky, conversations changed. How could they build a life together? With a deployment looming in the distance, Chris packed his things and went to spend four months quality time with the girl he loved. It was in that sweet, cool summer that Cheyenne learned Chris had been secretly taking horseback lessons for months after work so that they could do what she loved together. The summer was filled with exploring New York and discovering secrets spots Cheyenne had never known. When they returned to Georgia in August, the month of Chris' deployment, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, knowing this was the girl he'd spend the rest of his life with.
