Question

Do I have to dress for the theme to attend the wedding?

Answer

Dressing on theme is strongly encouraged and will make the celebration even more special! Everyone deserves to embrace whimsy every now and then. We are treating this night like a party (because it is!) If you choose not to dress on theme then dressy-casual/semi-formal is recommended. The color pallete and other information about the wedding attire can be found on the 'What do I wear?" tab.

Should I bring a gift? Do you have a registry?

Answer

No! The gift is you being there. We recognize for most people this is an out of state wedding and traveling is a lot on it's own! Do not feel inclined to bring a gift, we highly discourage it! If are unable to attend, or you absolutely want to bring something, write us a card wishing us well. It would be extra special to us if you have photos or stories of fond memories you may have of us. We would even appreciate a favorite recipe or recommendations about books/movies!

What are some things to do in the area during my stay?

Answer

Whether you’re staying close to Cedartown or planning a day trip to Atlanta, there’s plenty to explore during your visit. ~~~ Around Cedartown (Relaxed & Scenic) ~~~ Walk or bike along the Silver Comet Trail. Enjoy the outdoors with hiking and scenic views at Highland Park Resort. Take a short drive to Rome for a charming downtown, river views, and great local restaurants. Spend a relaxing afternoon by the water at Weiss Lake. ~~~ Explore Atlanta (Day Trip Worthy) (about 1–1.5 hours away) ~~~ Visit the Georgia Aquarium. Experience the World of Coca-Cola. Walk the Atlanta BeltLine for food, art, and local shops. Relax or picnic in Piedmont Park. Explore shopping, dining, and rooftop views at Ponce City Market. ~~~ History, Culture & Entertainment ~~~ Visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. Explore the High Museum of Art. Can children attend?

Answer

Yes! However, during the ceremony, children under 8 years of age will be required to stay in the guest lodge with a hired babysitter where they will participate in activities and light snacks. Please note also, the axe throwing vendor does NOT allow children under 13 years of age to throw axes. But there will be plenty of yard games and dancing that they can participate in!
