Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad & Museum

In continuous operation since 1882, the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is one of the most unique ways to take in the spectacular views offered by the San Juan Mountains and the Animas River. Enjoy beverages and snacks from the concession train car or have them served to you from full bars offered in many of the premium train cars. Relax and watch the mountain peaks and river-cut canyons pass alongside the train.

Purgatory Resort

Near Durango in the San Juan Mountains of southern Colorado, Purgatory is at the top of its class for summer diversions—accompanied by amazing views in every direction. Last summer, the resort added summer tubing, a great compliment to the full slate of offerings.

Pagosa Springs

At over 1002 feet deep, the Mother Spring aquifer has been Guinness World Record Certified as, "The World's Deepest." The mineral-rich waters from that very spring fill the baths at The Springs Resort & Spa, The Overlook Hot Springs, and Healing Waters Resort & Spa. Each facility offers a unique experience, and each is open to the public with admission. There's also plenty of shopping, dining, and breweries!

Four Corners Monument

The Four Corners Monument marks the quadripoint in the Southwestern United States where the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah meet! Knock something off of your bucket list, its a little over an hour from Durango!!

Highway 550

From Durango, through Silverton and Ouray, to Ridgway, the highway delivers jaw-dropping vista after vista. It was cut from the side of the mountain and became know as the "Million Dollar Highway". It's one of the most scenic drives in the USA. The Million Dollar Highway stretches for about 25 miles (40 km) in western Colorado and follows the route of U.S. 550 between Silverton and Ouray, Colorado.
