Why is the RSVP deadline August 1, 2026?
Answer
Because this is an international celebration, we need time to ensure that every guest who RSVPs is genuinely planning to attend. The deadline allows us to finalize the headcount, secure accommodations, wedding venues, meals, and activities, and cover the initial deposits. These deposits are nonrefundable, so having a confirmed RSVP ensures we can plan accurately and fairly for all guests.

What if I RSVPed “yes” but later realize I can’t attend due to unforeseen circumstances?
Answer
We understand that unforeseen situations can arise. However, if we have already spent money to secure your accommodations, meals, or wedding arrangements, we may kindly request that you reimburse us for those expenses. This ensures fairness to all guests and allows us to maintain the plans for the celebration.

If I RSVPed “yes” and the hosts cover my accommodations or certain activities, do I have to pay that money back?
Answer
No! Guests will not be charged upfront for accommodations, wedding-related meals, or activities that the hosts are covering. You would only be responsible for reimbursing us if, after we’ve already spent money on your behalf, you later cannot attend. Otherwise, all covered items are included at no cost to you.

What if I want to come but I’m not sure I can commit by August 1? Can I still RSVP?
Answer
We can only accept RSVPs from guests who are sure they are definitely going to attend. We understand that this is a huge commitment, and it’s completely normal if some invited guests cannot make it, that’s okay. However, in order to keep this destination wedding as organized as possible for everyone involved, hard deadlines must be met. There will be no exceptions, as any last-minute changes could seriously disrupt plans and affect not just one guest, but everyone on the trip.

What is the dress code for the actual wedding day?

Tropical Bohemian breathable attire is encouraged. Flowy sundresses, maxi dresses, linen shirts, and relaxed, elegant outfits in beige, cream, light tan, ivory or white are perfect.

Absolutely! You are welcome to join the celebration. Just note that guests wearing colors outside the requested palette (beige, white, cream, light tan, ivory) may not appear in official wedding photos or videography.

Are there dispensaries in Bali?
Answer
No. Cannabis/marijuana is illegal in Bali and throughout Indonesia. There are no legal dispensaries, and possession, use, or trafficking of marijuana even in very small amounts can lead to extremely severe legal consequences, including many years to life in prison. These laws apply to everyone, including international visitors, and they are strictly enforced by local authorities. For the safety of all guests and in respect of Indonesian law, marijuana must not be brought to Bali or used at any time during this trip, including anywhere on resort property. Resort staff take these laws very seriously, and any violations may result in authorities being contacted immediately. Additionally, our parents and elders will be present during this celebration. We ask all guests to respect the law, the resort, and the tone of this trip so that everyone can enjoy a safe and memorable experience together.

What happens if I bring marijuana anyway?
Answer
Please do not attend this trip if you plan to bring or use marijuana. Cannabis is illegal in Indonesia, and the legal consequences are extremely serious. We will not risk the safety of our guests or our celebration. Anyone who chooses to ignore this rule may be asked to leave the event and local authorities may be contacted.

Edibles are still cannabis and are illegal in Bali. Gummies, brownies, oils, or any infused products are treated the same under Indonesian law. Do not bring them.

What if I don’t have a plus one by the RSVP deadline?
Answer
If you do not have a plus-one confirmed by the RSVP deadline, only you will be counted in the final headcount for accommodations, food, and other wedding arrangements. Our final deposits and reservations will be based on the confirmed numbers at that time. Changes after the RSVP deadline may not be possible, so please plan accordingly.

What will the host cover?
Answer
We will cover all meals served at the wedding reception, daily transportation if you choose to join us as we explore Bali, and the initial deposits to hold your accommodations. Any additional meals, drinks, personal expenses, or remaining room balances beyond the initial deposit are the responsibility of each guest.

What are guests responsible for?
Answer
Guests are responsible for their airfare to and from Bali, the remaining balance of their accommodations beyond any deposits covered by us, and all meals and drinks outside of wedding-provided breakfasts and wedding-related meals or drinks, including alcohol. Any alcohol consumed at the wedding itself beyond what is provided is also the responsibility of the guest. Guests are additionally responsible for any damage to their room or belongings during their stay. Breakfast and wedding-provided meals and drinks are included, but all other food, beverages, and incidental charges are at the guest’s expense.

What if I find a plus one after the RSVP cut off date?

Unfortunately, any plus-one added after the RSVP deadline of August 1, 2026 will not be able to attend. The final headcount submitted by this date will be used to reserve rooms, meals, and activities that we are covering. Changes after the cutoff are not possible, so please plan accordingly.

What about vaping or smoking cigarettes?
Answer
Nicotine vaping and cigarettes are legal in Bali, and there are no issues with guests bringing them for personal use. However, please be respectful of the resort and other guests. Smoking or vaping should only be done in designated smoking areas or where the resort permits it. Smoking or vaping inside rooms, villas, or indoor spaces is typically not allowed and may result in cleaning fees from the resort. As always, we ask everyone to be considerate of other guests and our families during the celebration.

Can I drink the tap water in Bali?

No. Tap water in Bali is not safe to drink. Guests should only drink bottled or filtered water, which is widely available at resorts, restaurants, and stores. Most hotels provide complimentary bottled water in rooms, and ice served at reputable restaurants and resorts is typically made from filtered water.

The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Credit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and larger businesses, but cash is recommended for taxis, small shops, markets, and tips. ATMs are widely available throughout Bali if you need to withdraw local currency.
