It was just another night at Britannia British Pub, where Sarah was working her usual shift, surrounded by familiar faces. Around 8 o’clock, one of Sarah’s regulars walked in with a friend he introduced, Clay. Clay settled in at the bar and, much to Sarah’s delight, started ordering margaritas. (Most people kept it simple with beer or Jack and Coke!) But, being the good sport she is, Sarah made those margaritas and sent Clay on his way for the evening. Fast forward a few nights later, fate had a plan. Sarah and Clay bumped into each other at Cheers, where they got caught up talking about Duke basketball and Aggie football. One thing led to another, and they ended up grabbing food at the Crow Bar. It wasn't too much longer before they were pretty much inseparable—spending days by Sarah’s pool, cruising around Isle of Hope on the golf cart with Rainy and many days of brunch at The Draft Room. A year later they decided to move to Atlanta for what was supposed to be a 'few years until they were ready to settle down'. But God had greater plans in store as they soon found out they would be adding Charlie to their family the following fall. And not long after, on a sunny day on the Isle of Hope Bluff—a spot they’d passed countless times on their golf cart rides—Clay asked Sarah to spend forever with him. (Spoiler: She said yes!) With their hearts set on being close to family, they moved back to Savannah to start the next chapter surrounded by their loved ones. And now, here we are—a short year away from the big day when Sarah and Clay officially become the Chestnuts! Each of you have played a crucial role in not only their lives, but Charlies life, whether it be family, a life long friend, or Sarahs regulars that celebrated Charlie’s life as if it were their own grandchild. You have all at some point or another been a critical role in getting both Sarah and Clay where they are today.. They can’t wait to say “I do” with all of you by their side!
