In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was distant, Anchelle and Chester’s paths crossed unexpectedly. They met through a Zoom meeting for business, with Chester in New Jersey and Anchelle in Arizona, miles apart yet connected by their shared work. Little did they know, this professional connection would evolve into something much deeper. They were partnered as accountability buddies, unaware of how much this bond would change their lives. During this time, both Anchelle and Chester were nursing broken hearts, each going through their own struggles. But in the midst of it all, their friendship began to bloom. On Chester’s birthday, Anchelle received a notification on Facebook. Without hesitation, she sent him a birthday greeting, and that simple message was the beginning of something beautiful. From that point on, they started talking more often, offering each other comfort and support. As their connection grew, Anchelle made the brave decision to fly to New Jersey to meet Chester in person. Since it was during the height of the pandemic, she had to quarantine in a hotel for 14 days. But Chester didn’t mind the restrictions—he visited her every chance he got. With nothing else to do and no place to go, one evening, on July 13, 2020, they found themselves walking around the hotel parking lot, gazing at the stars and talking for hours. In that quiet moment, Chester turned to Anchelle and asked her to be his girlfriend. Three years later, Chester took Anchelle on a life-changing adventure to Bohol, Philippines, where he proposed to her at the stunning Chocolate Hills. From being long-distance accountability buddies to becoming lifelong partners, their love story is a testament to how unexpected connections can turn into forever. Now, as we walk down the aisle toward married life, we are excited to continue building our family, supporting each other, and growing together as partners.
