Our Story

Michael first Chesson met in personal finance class, their freshman year at Millbrook high school. Michael spent the entire semester trying to get closer to Chesson, from moving seats, to getting in trouble for trying to hold hands during class, he was determined for Chesson to give him a chance. Coincidentally Michael’s best friend from middle school and now groomsman, Ben Miller, went to church with Chesson since the third grade. As their freshman year was coming to an end, Michael and Chesson were spending more and more time outside of school together. Michael would tag along with Ben to youth group functions, and Chesson would find ways to hangout with all the boys (now groomsmen), including Daniel and Jono. By the time summer came around, Michael saw no turning back and asked Chesson to be his girlfriend July 7th of 2012. On their fourth anniversary, July 7th of 2016, they brought Leo into their lives. While Leo is a dog, he is their pride and joy, and is treated as their child. After Leo’s Addison’s Disease diagnosis in 2019, they have been dedicated to provide him with the best life possible. October of 2022 they moved into their very first home together, and Leo was so happy to get his own backyard! December 12th 2024, Michael surprised Chesson with an early arrival home from work. While Chesson was wrapping up her work day at home, Michael tapped her on the shoulder, got down on one knee, and asked “Will you marry me”. Chesson, elated that this long awaited moment was finally here, answered “Of course”. They spent the rest of their evening perusing downtown Franklinton, enjoying their reservations at Franko’s, taking in all the beautiful Christmas lights, and most of all appreciating their time with each other. It would be their honor and privilege to have each and every one of you attend their big day. They would love for you to join them in celebrating and making memories that will last them a lifetime!
