Packing tips!

Please be sure to read the attire for each of the restaurants for your stay at the resort. Most of the restaurants require sandals (not flip flops) for women and closed toe shoes for men after a certain time in the evening. Make sure to bring one pair of pants for a few of the restaurants. BRING SUNSCREEN - IT IS $50/BOTTLE AT THE RESORT GIFT SHOP. Don't forget to bring your white linen for cocktail night! The resort does have all toiletries provided in the room as well as house slippers/robes. There is a hair dryer and a steamer in the rooms.

Should I prebook transportation?

Answer

Yes - prebook at least your transportation from the airport to the resort. On our trip in March, the cab drivers were trying to charge $85 for one way to the hotel. This is normally around $35/$40. Leaving the hotel, the cab was only $35 and very quick. I would suggest using Amstar to book the transportation from the airport to the hotel.

What do you mean by "resort beach cocktail"?

Answer

We came up with the term "resort beach cocktail" to give you an idea of the vibe, but we want you to be comfortable. Feel free to go with a more relaxed look, like a sundress or nice shorts and a short-sleeved button-down shirt. If you prefer to get a little dressier, a cocktail dress or slacks would also be perfect. Please save the heels and wedges for another time. Just remember, we'll be celebrating on the beach, and it could be hot and humid! (highs 90*) We'll have a shoe-check station so you can kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand. Sunglasses recommended for ceremony. The goal is for you to look and feel great while having an amazing time!

Answer

We do not care if you bring a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, cousin or anyone else you would like to spend the weekend with in Cancun. Just let us know their name and we’re excited to celebrate with everyone. If you book a room with another guest, please let us know so we can keep track of the rooms remaining in our room block.

What days should we book the resort for that weekend?

Answer

We want everyone to relax and enjoy their time with us, so we've kept our wedding weekend itinerary flexible to accommodate your schedule. We recommend booking at least Friday - Monday but you could miss Sunday's festivities if you need to be back at work on Monday. On Friday night, we'll have an optional cocktail hour starting around 7 p.m. We would love for you to join us as we kick off the weekend! The day after the wedding, we'd love to continue the celebration with you at the resort for a beach and pool day. This is completely optional, but we hope you can make it! We'll be staying at the resort from Wednesday to Monday and would love to spend time with anyone who is able to join us.

Do I have to book the room with you?

Answer

We would prefer if you booked directly with us instead of through an alternate vendor. We are required to have 80% of our guests confirmed with our room block in order to reserve the space for the ceremony and reception. We were able to secure pre-opening pricing on the block so it should be the most competitive rate you can find. If you have a membership with the Secrets resorts and prefer to use your Unlimited Vacations discount, just text us and let us know so we can try to coordinate that with the hotel.

Please RSVP as soon as possible!

To ensure we have the perfect space for everyone at the resort, we kindly ask that you let us know if you'll be able to attend as soon as you can. Rooms will sell out. We need to provide the resort with a final headcount by December 2025. While rooms don't need to be paid in full until March 17, 2026, an early RSVP helps us immensely with our planning and to reserve more rooms if necessary. We're expecting a big group and want to make sure we have plenty of room for all our loved ones to celebrate with us!

Why are there only preferred club rooms in the room options?

Answer

At this resort, the Preferred Club unlocks three of the best areas on the property. It gives you access to the infinity pool with a swim-up bar by the beach, the exclusive Preferred Club breakfast, and the rooftop Sky Bar & Pool. From our many stays at Secrets resorts, we’ve found that not having access to the preferred club can be a bit frustrating. After researching the resort, we quickly discovered that our favorite spot was the infinity pool by the beach, and we want to be sure all our guests can join us there. We will be checking the resort out on Halloween weekend. Basically, we want to be sure that all of our guests have access to the entire resort and won’t be limited by room choice.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love all the children in our lives, our wedding celebration will be held at an adults-only resort. We understand this may make it difficult for some of you to attend, but we hope you're still able to join us for a weekend of fun in the sun.

Can I attend the wedding if I stay at a neighboring resort?

Answer

No - you have to have a room booked for the night of the wedding through us in order to be allowed on property for the wedding.
