Our Story From Past to Present

Zachary's story We first met each other through a mutual friend ultimate Frisbee group. Ultimate Frisbee was right up my lane as i had many hours playing at middle school all the way up into high school. Cheryl and i never really spoke much when we played Frisbee although i noticed her immediately. I first thought she was an accountant because she always dressed nicely and her friend group was a little older. I also thought she was 23-25, which to my huge surprise she was only 16! It wasn't until later in May that I finally began to talk with Cheryl which officially started off a friendship with unsuspecting results. It was bible camp time! I would continuously walk into main building to “apply more sunscreen” and see what Cheryl was up to and maybe “get more water”. August 3rd at a friends wedding, I sat alone at a table when Cheryl walked up to me and began to make small talk. After a while of random topics, I asked Cheryl if she wanted to grab some food one day. Cheryl, after strict conversations with her parents, knew she should not begin dating someone without their consent so she simply answered in a small voice “As friends right?” In my mind I never intended to ask her out on a "date" but simply as friends. The relationship progressed quickly with some mixed feelings, both of us wanting to make sure it was the Lords will and that we wouldn't be setting ourselves up for heartbreak. Cheryl's Story I was an introvert without even knowing it, and Frisbee was just not my thing growing up, however once i started playing and getting to know people i began to thoroughly enjoy it. Zach didn't start playing right away and it seemed like he went every time i wasn't there. I didn't think much about relationships and boys so i didn't notice Zach right away, but as the summer days progressed i began to notice his skills in Frisbee and got a desire to get to know him better.

Proposal

It was May 1st and Zachary was anxious filled with joy and hoping his plan will work out well. Since Covid-19 issue has regulated restaurants Zachary picked up some delicious Diane's (Local popular restaurant) Pasta to make his own dining experience for the lovely Cheryl. They traveled up in formal clothing for a "dinner date" into the beautiful Gila Wilderness. Cheryl was blindfolded but with her intelligence knew where we were was suspicious of a possible proposal. As Zachary was setting up near a lookout for the dinner carrying over a table, chairs, gift basket, photo book, and the infamous ring he began to get more impatient to ask. Cheryl was finally allowed to come down to the dining area. Roughly 40 minutes of enjoying food and treats the photo book came in handy. As they flipped through the first known picture of each other together to silly photos the last page said Yes or No? Cheryl's look on the face was amazement as Zachary kneel down to ask whether she would take part of each others life in a marriage.
