Our story is a Tinder story! We swiped right on each other on May 20, 2018 as Olan was traveling back to State College from visiting his best man and his family in Philly that weekend. We began our first conversation that day and connected immediately. It just felt naturally to us, like we had known each other for a long time! We talked for hours every night that first week, video chatted two days after our first convo, and went on our first date in Philly the following weekend. From that point, Olan began visiting Cheryl on some weekends in Philly, and Cheryl began visiting Olan on other weekends in State College. Eventually, Olan moved to Philly in February 2019 to take a new job and be closer to Cheryl. The rest is history.

We had gone to a Mary J. Blige/Nas concert at the Liacouras Center, and it was a beautiful evening. Cheryl had joked to me that if I was going to propose to her that I should make sure her nails were done, and that night, I checked her nails! LOL We got back home from the concert and I got down on one knee in an intimate moment in our living room at home and Cheryl said yes!
