Literally where our democracy began. The Liberty Bell and other sights are there too. Make sure to try some food at the Bourse while you're there. It's on 5th street. La Colombe is also a staple here on 6th street - but the coffee is VERY caffeinated. Cheryl worked a few blocks from there and frequented it often. The Museum of the American Revolution is a few blocks away at 3rd and Chestnut and is worth a visit.
Climb up the Rocky steps! The Art Museum is the crown jewel of the parkway, where many of the cities museums are located. Also check out the Franklin Institute, the Barnes Museum, and the Rodin Museum.
See Philly from over 30 floors up in what was once the tallest building in the city.
This iconic strip of Philadelphia is right on the Schuylkill trail, which is a great walk for those who are interested. Cheryl used to walk this trail when going to school nearby at Drexel.
Want to take in the Philly skyline? This free park in the sky offers unparalleled views, and also has a place to get food and drinks as well.
Get your pic at the iconic LOVE statue. The AMOR statue is a few blocks away at Sisters Cities Park at 18th and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
A smorgasbord of different flavors, Reading Terminal is a food court filling a city block. From Halal to cajun to cheesesteaks, you can find it here. Cheryl has gotten many breakfast sandwiches and lunch meals here.
