Jim and Cheryl were classmates throughout nursing school at Lewis University. From group projects, clinicals, and studying for exams, they became fast friends. After graduation and starting their careers, Jim would snapchat Cheryl trying to get her to come up to the city. After several attempts, she finally decided to come up from Wilmington and see his new place in Old Town. After he showed her the sliver of lake view, she was swooned. That evening they had their first kiss at Moe’s Cantina on the balcony. From there, that friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story. Both of them are nurses, which comes with the options of choosing where you want to work. They became travel nurses and had the opportunity to work from the east coast and back out to California, where they reside now in the Bay Area with their two dogs, Lily and Noodles.
