Though we are both from Minnesota, our hometowns not far from each other we did not meet until we both lived in Colorado through mutual friends. Our friend group being large at that time, always going to concerts, adventuring and even just drinks at our mutual homes we very much took a liking to each other, and that bond developed quite quickly. On May 21st we took a trip just the 2 of us to Leadville, Colorado, our favorite place in the entire world. After exploring all day and mostly likely being over served at The Manhattan Bar, we decided, and the proposition goes as "Let's date for a month and see how it goes, and hopefully remain friends if it doesn't work out. Here were are 6 years later, looking forward to the rest of our lives together. Through those 6 years our lives have changed, as well as us as people, the parties, the concerts, and the constant on-the-go really settled down and we transformed from a couple to a family, with our dogs, cats, and chickens. January 7th 2023 we spent the weekend in Estes Park in a little cabin with a fire place and hot tub. We drove to Rocky Mountain National Park and walked on the frozen lake to a dock in the middle where Garrett looked at me and said "Well, I guess I better do this while we are the only ones here." and there was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen, screaming at the top of lungs I cant even recall if I said yes or if I just started screaming, and the screaming continued the entire drive down the mountain into town. In April we decided to make our first big step as a couple, and we bought our first home, outside of the city in a small town, where our relationship has thrived outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. In May of 2023, Cheryl started an accelerated Nursing program, which would prove to test us, mentally, financially, and very much emotionally, we did it though, Cheryl graduated and Garrett cared for us financially for the year I was a full-time student and working very part-time. Now, we are here, we have every single thing we could ever want in life, and with each other, and are looking forward to our marriage, and growing our family with something that doesn't have a tail or feathers. We would love to thank everyone who has stood by us along this journey, we have felt loved and supported from the beginning and are so excited for this new beginning. Cheers, Garrett and Cheryl
