It is fitting that an Ecological Engineer and Earth Scientist had their first date on Earth Day. Maybe it was a lucky coincidence or maybe it was meant to be. Either way, it gave us another reason to love the day that we celebrate our planet. For all of you who do not know the date of Earth Day, it is April 22 - mark your calendars now! On Sunday April 22, 2018 we went rock climbing at Ohio State followed by a trip to get smoothies. It was our first and last time rock climbing together, and we have since upgraded to hiking in state parks followed by a stop for milkshakes! We quickly found that life with each other is always an adventure filled with love, laughter, learning, and plenty of sass. We love living in Columbus, and over the years Courtney has used her expertise to teach Devin how to be an Ohioan! Devin now says things like ‘ope’ and shouts ‘O-H’ when she sees someone in Buckeye gear out of state. In our free time you can find us perusing a farmers market, chatting with friends at a local brewery, exploring a Metro Park, or on a date night at a new restaurant. Columbus has everything we need – great people, good beer, delicious food, lots of parks! What more could we want? Spoiler alert: we wanted more. About two years ago we got the puppy itch and added the cutest, sassiest little mutt to our family. We named her Darcy after Henry Darcy, a French engineer who derived the equation to explain water flow through a porous media. If you were questioning our level of nerdiness, here is your answer. We love spending time with our pup, and some people might say that Darcy runs the household. They would be correct! We are excited to celebrate our marriage and share our city with you all in May! Don't worry, Darcy will likely make an appearance!
