We are Getting Married!

Our journey together began when a friend invited me to an event at school. She was attending with her boyfriend, and as fate would have it, he brought along a friend - Tyler. The story gets even more interesting: during the event, I made a joke, and Tyler, with perfect timing, pulled out a ring pop and said, "A girl with that sense of humor should be my wife." Fast forward 2-3 years, and here we are, about to get married - the girl with a sense of humor and the boy who proposed with a candy ring.

As many of you may not know, I have a bit of a refined taste when it comes to food. So, when I met the one, I knew he’d have to be on board with that! I decided to take him to enjoy some seafood, and we ended up at the Crawfish Shack in Marshall. That day, we shared so many wonderful conversations, but one that stands out is when we talked about our future. At the time, neither of us had each other in our plans. But now, I can’t imagine a future without Tyler by my side, helping me plan every step of the way.

From the very beginning, I shared with Tyler that I envisioned a simple and meaningful engagement—one that wouldn’t break the bank, especially since he had already put so much thought and love into the perfect ring. So, on Christmas Eve, with just 30 quiet minutes together at my house before heading to my grandparents' house, Tyler took that time to pop the question. It was small, intimate, and utterly perfect. In that moment, it meant the world to me. Tyler truly is a gentleman, and I couldn’t have asked for a more special and personal proposal.
