Soda City Market is Columbia’s weekly Main Street event inspired by traditional European street markets. We are open every Saturday morning 9 a.m. –1 p.m., year-round, rain or shine! Soda City Market is a producer-only market — vendors must make or grow their own products (including out of season/exotic fruits and vegetables, antiques, and vintage items). Everything sold at our market is unique, hand crafted, and produced in the Southeast. The market fields an average of 150 vendors per week, and over 400 unique vendors throughout the year!
This beloved City of Columbia park provides a 4 mile flat, easy-walking, paved trail that follows the old towpath of the Columbia Canal—which had a brief career in the 19th century, but became obsolete because of the railroads.
The State House is also open for tours each Saturday. Tours are given at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Visitors can also tour at their own pace using brochures available in the State House. The State House will be open between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
