I (Cherish) was new to the area, and was looking for a place to meet other christian people. My brother, Cameron, invited me to a new “young adults” small group at our church, Hope Valley Church. After the first week, we had taken an interest in each other but didn’t pursue anything. The second week, we began seeing some similarities between us. Before the third week, during a service on Sunday, we struck up conversation with each other. We were both nervous, both interested in each other, but wouldn’t admit it. I then later texted him through social media, and we started dating a couple of days later. Some may call us crazy, but i’d say God knew we needed each other!

Logan knows i’m tough to fool, so he started working on the proposal months ago. Him and his sister, Leah, set up a FAKE photography class to cover the photographer portion of the proposal. Logan even printed a syllabus off of ChatGPT, and had Leah mark it up so she could show me and throw me off. On the day of the proposal, I wanted Starbucks minutes before, which if you know me, is not out of the ordinary. The issue was that Starbucks took 25 minutes to get our drinks out, and we were late to our own engagement (what I thought was a photoshoot lol)! Poor Logan was stressing and it wasn’t until after that I found out why. The sun was setting, time was running out, and we were still twenty minutes from the location. Even with all of the bumps, I couldn’t imagine it any other way and neither could Logan. It was incredibly beautiful, and he surprised me with a celebration with our families afterwards. We have been immensely blessed with our community, friends, and family!
