We went out to a Broadway play for our anniversary in 2022! If you didn't know, we had our first date at Amy Ruth's — an amazing soul food restaurant in Harlem, so we returned there for lunch after our play. Music is ALWAYS playing at Amy Ruth's and ironically "Let's Just Get Married" by Jagged Edge was playing when Ky was about to pop the question! Well, he thought that was way too cheesy [he isn't wrong], so he pretended to have to go to the bathroom. When he came out "You Give Good Love" by Whitney Houston was playing. Unfortunately, Ky didn't really get a chance to ask the question when he got down on one knee, because Cherise snatched the ring box out of his hand and said "yes". Through happy tears, she eventually asked him to put it on her finger.
We have a limited guest list due to the size of our venues, but we still want to celebrate with everyone!
